SpicaBear joined Thailand Content Market and BIDC 2026 in Bangkok, connecting WakaStudio’s character IP with creators, studios, buyers, and partners from Thailand and around the world.

Bringing SpicaBear Home
After traveling overseas, SpicaBear had another destination waiting closer to home.
From July 20–22, 2026, WakaStudio brought SpicaBear to Thailand Content Market 2026, held at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok alongside industry activities including the Bangkok International Digital Content Festival, or BIDC.
TCM 2026 brought together creative businesses across film, animation, games, characters, toys, publishing, and other forms of content, while BIDC continued its focus on Thailand’s digital-content industries and international business connections. MOC Events
For us, it was a particularly meaningful event.
SpicaBear may be designed to travel internationally, but it began here in Thailand.
Thai Character, Global Possibilities
Character design is only one part of building an IP.
The much harder part comes afterward: turning that character into something audiences can recognize, remember, and eventually build a connection with.
TCM and BIDC created an interesting environment because so many parts of the creative industry were gathered together.
Game developers were meeting animation studios. Producers were talking with distributors. Character owners were speaking with manufacturers and licensing partners.
Ideas were crossing industries everywhere.
For SpicaBear, those conversations matter.
We want the character to feel at home in illustration and animation, while also having the potential to live through physical products, experiences, collaborations, and other forms of storytelling.
The event gave us another opportunity to present that direction while meeting people who might become part of the journey.
Growing From Thailand
Thailand Content Market 2026 was the first edition of the event, bringing together hundreds of exhibitors and participants from Thailand and overseas, while connecting the country’s creative industries through exhibition, business matching, and content showcases. Thai Government
Being part of that environment reminded us of something important.
Taking a Thai IP to the world does not mean leaving Thailand behind.
It means building something here that can travel.
SpicaBear is still growing. New artwork, new stories, new products, and new possibilities are gradually shaping what the character can become.
TCM and BIDC gave us another place to share that journey.
And this time, SpicaBear did not have to travel quite so far to get there.
