RunOut joined SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025 in Bangkok, representing Thai game development alongside creators from 14 creative industries exploring how local ideas can reach global audiences.
Games Are Part of the Story Too
RunOut has traveled to game shows around the world.
But SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025 offered a different kind of stage.
Held in Bangkok from July 8–11, the four-day event brought together 14 creative industries, ranging from film, music, fashion, food, and design to gaming, literature, tourism, and performing arts. SAWASDEE THAILAND – THAILAND.GO.TH
For WakaStudio, participating with RunOut was an opportunity to show games not simply as entertainment, but as part of Thailand’s growing creative landscape.
A Thai Game Built to Travel
RunOut was created in Thailand, but much of its development journey has taken place in front of international audiences.
The game has traveled across Asia, Europe, and the United States, meeting players from very different backgrounds.
That journey is one reason SPLASH felt relevant to us.
Creative work can begin locally without needing to stay local.
A game can carry visual ideas, design choices, humor, characters, and the personality of the people who made it while still being understandable to someone thousands of kilometers away.
For RunOut, the language is intentionally simple.
Run.
Jump.
Compete.
Try not to fall.
Try even harder not to get pushed.
Human civilization has somehow prepared everyone for those concepts.
Part of Thailand’s Creative Future
SPLASH placed game development beside many other forms of Thai creativity, making it a useful reminder that the industry does not exist alone.
Games interact with art.
Animation.
Music.
Character design.
Technology.
Storytelling.
And increasingly, international business.
For us, RunOut’s booth was one small piece of that much larger picture.
We were happy to bring the game home to Bangkok while continuing the same goal that has followed RunOut throughout its journey:
